This may be the biggest reason to dump Chrome browser for Opera
Opera, the company known for its desktop and mobile browser, has introduced a new feature in its app that protects the smartphone from cryptocurrency mining. The change comes as a part of Opera 50 and was introduced few days ago. The browser app, for now, is limited to beta version so not everyone will be able to use it.
"Opera's big number 50 release is edging closer to its stable release. Today, we are delivering the release candidate, which includes an innovative anti-Bitcoin mining feature, extended VR360 support for Oculus and Chromecast," adds the company blog post.
The company explains that the feature is limited to the web version only but still is a vital one given the increasing cases of Bitcoin mining using PC and mobile devices.
It is also worth adding here that Opera 50 is the first browser to come with a dedicated Bitcoin protection feature.
